Mahjong Tower.

I guess it's not officially a bug, but the scoring system for this game is a little bit odd. The scores for each board are not cumulative, so if you want to get a highscore, you're better off losing quickly at the end of the first board (which has the most tiles, as far as I can tell) than continuing to play the smaller but harder boards.

Thanks for putting a "real" mahjong game in, though. They are one of my favourites!

I noticed that too, but I decided to just add it to the site anyways. In that, I think it's okay to have some games that are not so much about the points at the end, but the fun - like the Tower Defense games. I'll make sure to make a note about it though in the description, but also, work on getting some different Mahjong games - there's tons out there.

Hehe, yep you caught me in the process. The imagery will eventually have a larger picture (pun!) in everything, like the village, all kind of using the same aesthetic.

About the Kokaro mascot, the slime (or blob in some RPGs), you are absolutely correct - I think I was originally thinking Dragon Warrior (NES) but more stylized. You should also see him play a more important part as well coming up.

Er...the bar at the top is a bit...overloaded since you added Site Feed. Site Feed and Forum do not exactly fit on the bar anymore, it loops around and displays on two floating squares (see here). It's entirely a design flaw, have tried it out in everything from IE to Safari and it's still problematic.

Apparently I'm banned? For getting a score on a game lower than the highest? (The bunny game, I got 13xsomething. Lower than Blackbird's second even, I think.)

There's something a little odd with the cheat detection. Maybe it's not taking into account the option to restart in-game?

(assuming I get unbanned, does this mean I can no long rightclick -> restart on things like Alu's revenge to save having to load the flash again?)

I don't remember it being too bad, but I couldn't really say. Some times are slower than others, but it wasn't like the LONGEST WAIT EVER or anything. I'm in the habit of clicking over to another window until I see the little green guy replace the loading favicon animation.

Got banned playing the bunny game as well, probably because I hit reset within the flash rather than resetting outside it. I do understand how setting it up so the in-Flash reset buttons to react to the anti-cheat mechanism would be horrendous to code (if not outright impossible), and will try to reset from the site itself every time from now on (though it is a pretty bad situation, since I got a score only 60 lower than Jacq's). There's a good reason for this, I actually sat down and timed it, and every session that gets a score at or around the current champion level is around 5 minutes; if two or three are hooked up in a row, bam, cheating time counter should theoretically be instantly broken.

Also, I concur with Jacq's observation here, the game doesn't automatically start loading the high score page, there's at least a 10 second delay and it's not entirely the site being slow...do look into this as well.

Yeah, it takes a distinctly longer time when sending those that would be banhammered, those that actually got sent took far less time.

I suggest we remove the bunny game from general access for a while until we get all the kinks worked out. We wouldn't want people getting banned for no real reason.

So I was playing the bunny game (...yes. Again. Me and Jacq have a bit of a feud over it), and after getting a score of 49267 (which totally trumps Jacq's by 10000), I get this:

There was an error submitting the score for your game. This is usually caused by trying to play more than 1 game at a time, or opening multiple games at a time. To prevent cheating and prevent this error, please only play one game at a time. You played bunnyhopper but expected a score from babykicker.

Can't provide screen since I just sort of left it at that and decided I'd try again, but it did happen, and I was only playing bunnyhopper, I've not touched any other game at any other point. And going back to that score-submit page only starts bringing up other random unrelated games.

No idea what's going on here, but it may be a major problem.

EDIT: Also, just experienced Jacq's same problem with Border Blast. Seems to happen when there's lag, particularly when you switch to another tab/window while it is playing.

I may have broken it by pressing rightclick -> play to skip all the logo stuff at the beginning. I refreshed, and am trying to continue as normal, but the game may have that glitch recorded as my highscore and submit it.

That "screen o' +10" only happens if you skip the loading screens. But after that first set it doesn't seem like there's any stars or bumpers afterwords = terrible score

ANYWAYS
Two bugs:
1. "Reserve for" seems to be breaking the Vendor items that aren't reserved for anyone.

2. Inventory Page is broken. (sizzling rice is crustulios left on the bottom of the pot that Chinese vendors pass off as delicious food, btw)

3. Not actually a bug, but I swear the slot machine only has about 8-9 "sets" of items it cycles through on the hour. I've NEVER seen an OoT item in it.

Bit of a problem with the Item Guess. Sometimes things from the Doom gun set will shot up (and I know it's Doom because sometimes the bloody BFG9000 shows up), and even though I input varying combinations of capitals to say "DOOM", "Doom" or "doom" (that being the game's 100% official title), I still get it wrong. Is this just me doing something completely backwards or is it really wrong on the database itself?

I'm not sure I can explain this well, but the shop seems to be, uh, not really that random.
Slot 1 is cycling through the Ocarina of Time items, slot three is cycling Ultima items, and slot two seems to be a little more random but with an overabundance of DK items.
It might just be chance, but that odds of having Worlds Finest eyedrops, fertile dirt, jester hat, a banana, and the swordfish token all showing up two days in a row is quite the coincidence.

But if the market format is changing soon then I guess it will be a moot point then!

(PS: I see what you did to enchanted items last night. I'm pretty sure they didn't do anything at the moment anyways)

Yes, my formula didn't exactly work as planned for that stuff; however, yes, soon it will be changing.

Sorry about the magics if you had any +2 or +3. To make up for this, all of them equal the effectiveness of a +2 anyways now. I did this as a start to implementing them to actually work, but also because the +1, +2, +3 is kind of convoluted especially with my other plans for upgrading items (for use with equipment/battle).

I thought about the naming now, it's kind of cool to have a "Virtuous Wooden Sword" or a "Bartering Bomb", but wouldn't it be cooler if it was "Wooden Sword of Virtue" or a "Bomb of Bartering"?

I dunno, I kinda like the adjectival version. "Virtuous Sword" sounds cooler than "Sword of Virtue" to me. But... "Wand of Wealth" sounds better. Hmmm. Either way works for me, really.

I noticed that if you get hit by a bomb/missle and also hit the ball at the same time, you will die, but the ball will simply bounce back and forth from left to right at an exact 180 degree angle, essentially breaking the game/needing a reset.

Bubble Trouble 2: Rebubbled has some serious score submission problems. Regardless of what I send, it hangs on a grey screen for a few minutes, and eventually stops even attempting to send. I'll take a screenshot of my next score, but this should not be happening...

I can't even take screenshots, because my software isn't cooperating.

And I had just gotten a score of 600. ARGH.

Noticed a fatal flaw in the Item Slot Machine where it wouldn't charge you the fee if you won gold or an item... besides that, I have also increased the price, but also increased the reward by the same amount... this is to compete with the new prices of rarity 4 and 5's which are available from the slot machine.

There's got to be a way to balance the slot machine, eventually you'll get it I'm sure. But right now it's actually pretty terrible.
Sinking about 4k gold in, with no payout = lame, considering the chances of getting an R1 item are the same as an R5.
It kind of sucks because right now nobody really buys things from the vendor house (due to already having, iirc).

Again, I'm sure it will get balanced eventually. If the goal of the slot machine is to just be a money-pit, fine. But I'd even prefer it if you scrapped the money payout completely (since it's balls) and replaced it with something like a randomized R1 item. Then at least there's some incentive to sink the money in.

edit: The enchanter is showing what looks like the results of a dice roll. ex; "25 - the enchanment failed"

Also, the Seeker of the Rare issue with the Spread Gun Falcon denies any logic, I really can't figure it out. It's a randomized number, but keeps going to the Spread Gun Falcon - I've pulled me hair out looking at the code haha. That is next on my list though - how annoying!

The item name is just a bonus, you just get more gold for getting it correct, but don't lose anything for not filling it in or getting it wrong. I should maybe make that more clear though. Thanks!

Item Guess is like "You guessed the item name correctly!" and giving me gold for it when I get the game right even when I don't put anything in for the item name.

The item name is just a bonus, you just get more gold for getting it correct, but don't lose anything for not filling it in or getting it wrong. I should maybe make that more clear though. Thanks!

I did a couple bug fixes not mentioned on the to-do:

I re-did some of the menus as on some browsers they were not showing up properly.

Magic items now show up properly (with proper color) in your profile.

The glitch will have these trees and a white screen you should wait 5 seconds or just click right side of mouse and click on play which Renegade commented.

About two weeks ago I was playing Albatross Overlord (yeti sports game with the penguin and seagulls) and in between games I got an error screen saying the account has been banned. There didn't seem to be any problems with the game from what I could tell, but my account is now locked nonetheless. Could I get some help, please! Thank you!

Bumperjack: When I was playing Bumperjack, I got a really high score at around 46000 ish, and with almost 50 minutes to spare. Then, my game froze, preventing me from submitting the game.

I was going through my items today and noticed I was missing a blue balloon item from the DK set. I know it was in my inventory because I bought it from you, and I couldn't have accidentally destroyed at the enchanter because it's an R5 item.

Has anyone else had this issue before?

Commenting on games is currently bugged as far as wait times. It says to wait 1 minute in between comments to prevent spam but it has been ~20 minutes since my last comment and still does not let a comment go through.

Doing some of my typical farming and got a new error message possibly related to the new Affinity System or new set, as currently I have 1.25% Affinity towards the Yoshi's Safari set:

You have an SQL ERROR on the following page: /score.php
Error is: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 's Safari' ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT 1' at line 1
The SQL Code used is
SELECT * FROM items WHERE rarityfactor = 3 AND gamename = 'Yoshi's Safari' ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT 1
