I can understand that aspect of your reasoning.  My thought process was strive for as many magical items as possible (anything rank 3 or below goes straight to the enchanter) with complete disregard for gold, medallions, or rank. In other words,

More items = more magical items = increase in item find, and the cycle continues, marginally stronger each time through.

That's why I'm not too interested in my items of persuasion, but fortune would help in my equation.

It takes a bare minimum of 20 of any given enchanted item to make any difference in the game. In the case of Fortune items the count needs to be closer to 40 and for Virtue you need a high count of them AND you have to have 2000+ hit points for them to make a difference. Gold on the other hand has a direct effect on rank/hitpoints, especially for someone of your level. I have 40+ of all Enchanted items except Bartering as well as almost 6 million gold.  My offer of gold will advance you faster than the few items you have and your few items added to my stash will actually help me advance. If you continue to play then the tide will turn and we might be able to swap items on different terms but right know, me selling you enchanted items for gold only weakens both of us where as, me buying items for gold from you makes us both stronger. The ball is in your court

Well, I guess I've done as good as humanly possible by scoring around 29k. I'm playing the game correctly, according to what you stated. I wish WORD WIZ would come back......

So, if I find 2 or 3 eight letter words in a level, it doesn't give me more points, because it just has to reach the target score. Finding 2 or 3 eight letter words in a level only completes the level quicker. And I guess I don't get more points for completing a level as quick as possible.

I just can't figure out how anyone can score hundreds of thousands of points per game. It's quite baffling.

Even if I was a robot, I couldn't score that high.

I will go 6000 for Persuasion,Fortune and Wealth. I will pay 7000 for Virtue

Each level can only earn you the Target score, plus any time bonus. Your best bet it to solve for the largest words first, and do it as fast as possible.

I know what you mean, I capped at just under 24k myself.

From what I understand (based on the score after the first round) is that the points are capped per round (you can't earn more then what is required to beat the round; time bonus not included)  I'll give it another test and post my findings.
